Recently, Hiking Club has been very active and back with enormous surprises. It organized a two-day hike on 5th and 6th December. The team comprised of 14 hikers including the Hiking Coordinator Abhishek Khatiwada and the College Representative Surendra Adhikari. The whole team was asked to gather in the college premises by 10:00 am .After eating some snacks from Bhatbhateni Store, the hiking started from Salinadi chowk at about 11:30 am.

The fervor of hiking had shone on the eyes of every hiker. The primary destination was Jaharsingh Pauwa in which we had to move completely through the timberland of Sankhu and reach Lapsi Phedi at first. Towards the starting, we all had some difficulties in walking. The swinging breath of the majority of us could be effortlessly noticed. We came to one of the villages where we strolled through the fields. Likewise, the contant counseling with the villagers was not ceased because missing the trail may have led to some different destinations instead of our own. On the mid of the woodland, the breeze, that touched our drained body, made us all much more revived. At around 2:30, we stopped in the middle for snacks. Some of us could not stop ourselves from enjoying and playing cards. Moreover, we had to cross the next jungle from Bajeni to reach Jaharsingh Pauwa. We couldn't give up our appetite, hence again, we halted by the pine trees to get ourselves energized with some light sustenance.

Taking the dark, topped street and some alternate routes, we came to Shankhapur Paragliding take off side and lastly the resort (National Mount View and Green Peace Resort) where we spent our night. We were served by delicious delicacies and incredible accomodation. Enjoying the camp fire and barbeque alongside is the thing none can forget. The babbles made the environment full of laughter. Along with it, the phantom stories by on the spot story tellers were by one means or another ready to give everyone’s mind a fear. Likewise, the supper presented with desi ghee was yummy. Lastly, after playing cards, we could not let go of our sleep even though we wanted to because we had to again hike the other day. The fun that we had on that day is something that I and every other hiker can appreciate in future.

On the following day, the sunrise overpowered us. The cool air made us significantly more alert. We were served breakfast at around 8:30 am on the spot where we could savor the refreshing view all around. Likewise, we headed for our last destination at 9:00 am. At the starting, it was troublesome for us to move upwards due to the earlier day's fatigue. However, our eagerness to hike somehow overshadowed our exhaustion. Not only that, the woods which was slopy as well as thorny made our way considerably tougher. Moreover, it was overshadowed by the songs which we sang throughout the way.

For coming to Nagarakot, we needed to take the same course as we had taken the earlier day to reach Jaharsingh Pauwa. The view around and the cool air were able to bring us to life again. At around 11:30 am, we halted at Bajeni for snacks and at around 12:10 pm we came to a spot from where we could effortlessly see the mountain ranges. We all ceased there for taking rest for a while. It was simple for every one of us to go down slopes after that for quite a while.

On the way, we met a foreigner who had trekked the distance from Chisapani and was heading to Nagarkot. At around 12:45 pm, we came to Kartike from where we needed to go uphill. We additionally met DWIT mountain bikers on the way. Thenafter, we began walking through the trail which gave us a sigh of relief. At around 2:00 pm, we came to Nagarkot Bajar where Deerwalk van was waiting for us at Nagarkot Food Home.

After eating food, we drove towards Kathmandu at around 2:50 pm and came to college at 4:00 pm.

All in all, this hiking has given most of us the thrill that we want to experience during our life time. This hiking made all of us even more interested for further hiking in future.
