Thoughts for Quitting Cigarette

By Arjun Dahal

Once some wise men said, "Few cigarettes a day, Keeps your stress away". I followed them immediately. Hence, my journey began, With now almost a decade gone.   Compulsory with the tea, Mandatory after lunch/dinner, And with the alcoholic drinks, Their number is uncountable. And still, I'm proud to think Of quitting them as fast as I can.   Yes, I attempted to quit them, From a very long ago, Tried different methods, Preached by another flock of wise men. Countless times, I have said myself, "This is the last one", Alas! The last never came.   And even while writing this poem, I'm thinking of quitting it, After I finish inhaling, This last one in my hand.
