On Being Nonsense

By Arjun Dahal

It's raining outside, Thus you've stormed my mind again. For, It's always the same rain, The same weather, That makes me nonsense enough, to think of you   Now, I've become a poet, (Though stupid one) Got published in International Literary Journals, Like the way you said. And perhaps, you don't know dear, I've even been rejected over 170 times, Like the way I said. Doesn't that sound cool? (Please, keep on smiling)   Been everything you said, Obeyed your every command, Ruined my exams thrice. (Sorry, I did that myself) And last year, You made me completely schizophrenic. Insane, I nearly visited mental asylum. So, crazy by you. (Please, keep on smiling)   Nothing more, my dear Now, I shall be a scientist, Now, I shall be a professor, Like the way you said, Like the way you had expected. "This year, I shall publish papers". Mark those words of mine. (I know, you still do believe in me.)   Even the weather, now has changed. The bright sun has burned my words. My final exams are closer, Since on thinking of you You have wasted my time, Now, I shall curse you silently. And please, you can keep on smiling.
