Monsoon

By Arjun Dahal

The pair of oceanic eyes, Welled up with rain, Is stricken by a nostalgic lightning. Some thunderbolts are abstract, Can only be felt, By the observer himself, But it paves the way for a downpour. Then, the rain begins, In its own melancholy silence, Sweeping the long preserved dust, Wiping out the toxins of atmosphere, Flooding everywhere. And once it stops, The weather becomes magnificent again, Foreshadowing the change of season.
