Lies

By Arjun Dahal

O' Lies, How beautifully you get mingled? With everything I have.   The pages of my books, The tickling needles of my clock, The flowing rhythms on my phone, The burning flame of my LPG gas cylinder, The brightness of my LED bulbs, The hurling rain outside the casement, And to the dismay Of my educated brain, I'm watching you everywhere.   O' Lies, From where do you borrow the strength? To enrage the hopes, To storm out the thoughts, To thrive a person utmost nonsense And you have trolled me, For those countless times, Now, no longer known to me.   O' Lies, Your lust will never be quenched, Blinded by the surreal rumors You shall never see the light again. You're heading for nothingness, And I, Now, want to sink in the reality.   Hence our ways parts, For you can't conquer me permanently. My stupid friends have long been waiting, To see me outside, Of those excellent lies, you lied.
