After the grand success of the movie 'Kabaddi' in 2013, the sequel 'Kabaddi Kabaddi' was recently launched in November, 2015 which also proved to be a blockbuster hit all over Nepal. Loved by pubic and majority of the critics, Kabaddi Kabaddi has been able to reflect the real scenario of the rural areas of the Himalayas, far from the tradition Bollywood inspired movies in Nepal.

The same story and context from the part one “Kabaddi” continues in “Kabaddi Kabaddi”. Bir Kaji (Dayahang Rai) lives in a village called Naurikot who continues to impress his maternal cousin Maiya (Rishma Gurung) and keeps her proposing for marriage. However, Maiya is not impressed at all by him and she is totally against marrying him. The usual proposal and rejection routine takes a twist when Maiya's another cousin Bom Kaji (Saugat Malla) comes to the village with an ambition to help his father for election. Bir Kaji, originally supporting his paternal uncle (Bom Kaji's father) in election opts to take opposite side (Maiya's Father) who lures him by giving assurance of his marriage to Maiya. Bom Kaji (having been rejected by a girl in Kathmandu) and Maiya fall in love with each other. And, the story of rush, comedy, hatred and fight continues.

The outstanding part about the movie is Camera work. The beautiful scenes of the hills, himalayas, traditional Gurung settlement, rives and many more have been captured and utilized brilliantly. Songs  'Lai bari lai’ and ‘Lappan chappan’' is a good break, whereas 'Maya ko Badal' is made with emotional scenario. The characters in the movie reflect the true representation of real people. Moreover, everyone can feel closer to reality which rarely happens in Nepali movies. The lead actor Dayahang Rai seems totally flawless whereas Nischal Basnet along with other supporting casts can't be criticized either.

One of the major flaws in the movie may be the repetition of the story context. The same running, bike chasing, small funny accidents, love and  hate routine, similar dialogues, jealousy for a girl's love and others might be a little boring to the audience. People who have watched the first version and seeking for freshness may find it dull. Next weakness about the story is; easy acceptance of husband by Maiya's mother after so many years of living alone. Apart from these, this movie is an exception from the traditional Nepali Style and will be worth watching.

Respect Nepali movie by watching them so that the quality gets improved every time they try for the new one.
