Heavy rainfall has not only affected the earthquake victims who have lost roof above their head, but it has also affected DWIT Library. The reason behind this is incomplete construction activity at DWIT.

Vertical rainfall does not cause a major problem. It is the diagonal rainfall that results in the accumulation of water near the entrance of library. The accumulated water, when in excess amount, enters the library making it dirty.

DWIT Librarian Shivangi Sharma complains, "The water accumulation and the mess resulted due to it causes emergence of a weird smell inside the library and it makes working inside difficult." She also shows concern about the people who will be entering the library by mentioning that the water accumulation might cause accident if not dealt with properly.

One of the students, Nikita Gautam, said, "It makes the library messy. Situation everywhere inside the college premises is fine. However, this very situation makes a person feel that the mess is like a black dot on a white paper."

In order to deal with the issue, a wooden water blocker has been placed in the entrance. However, this only helps when there is low rainfall. That very solution is not able to prevent water from coming in during heavy rainfall.

Surendra Nath Adhikari, the Campus Chief, says, "We will now be making a gutter towards the roof in order to solve the problem."
