Photoshop is one of the best software used by designers, and photographers for easy and effective photo manipulation and I felt that I needed to learn how to use photoshop. When I first saw the enrollment form for this training, I immediately filled it up with excitement and high hopes of learning Photoshop. On Feb. 9, DWIT Media and Creative Arts Club organized the workshop facilitated by Sajak Baidhya '18, Pema Tamang '18 and Saras Karanjit ‘19. The main aim of this training was to provide some basic knowledge of Photoshop for the enhancement of our creativity. There was a slight delay in the commencement of this training as many students had not installed the Photoshop software but despite the delay, it went on smoothly. The training began at 10 a.m. with a short introduction on the importance of layers in photoshop. Furthermore, we learned to give styles to the texts and create simple posters with our names. The most exciting part of this workshop was the photo editing part where we used various interactive effects like adding a mask, creating a blurry black and white background which indeed gave the picture more astounding and classy look. Also, we learned to clone images, create a duplicate image and remove certain object/person from an image which was quite interesting.
"I am really interested in editing and designing so I always wanted to learn photoshop and play with the pictures. The mentors were really good and we enjoyed being taught by them.  I hope Media Club will conduct more of such training." - Arika Joshi '19, Participant
As I had a deep desire to learn Photoshop and I love editing pictures, this training turned out to be very beneficial and enjoyable. At the end, we grasped different interesting ideas and concepts related to Photoshop about editing pictures, creating posters. This training enriched my desires in photo editing and has made me more inclined to it.
