DWIT held fifth Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Saturday, 21st November 2015 after its fourth AGM on 25th November of 2014. AGM is attended by all the shareholders and administrative members of DWIT. The main aim of the meet-up is to highlight the current academic and non-academic activities, enhancement and progress plans and future vision of the college.

This year the meeting started at around 2:50 pm and lasted for almost two and half hours. Among the 163 shareholders of DWIT, 70 attended the session. This year the number of attendees was more than in prior years. The reason might be the growing impact that DWIT has been having in public or the reason might also be the day of the week that the meeting was conducted on. Chairman Pandey sarcastically pointed out, “We get more attendees when we conduct meeting on Saturdays!”

A lot of issues and future plans emerged in the meeting. Changing the current name of the college (DWIT) into Mrigasthali College, acquiring more IT colleges and having them join DWIT family, and establishing DWIT as an umbrella organization with many schools and colleges under it with almost one million students were some major conclusions of the meeting this year. Moreover, acquiring K-12 schools and recording the classes conducted during the school hours in order to make them available in remote public schools was one of the notable conclusions drawn out of the meet-up. To add, the concerns of the shareholders were aptly answered by DWIT admin members.

The meeting ended at around 5:00 pm. The meeting was followed by dinner session, which ended at around 6:30 pm.
