Directed by the well-known personality in the Nepali film industry, Bhuwan KC, "Dreams" hit the Nepalese theaters on 4th March 2016. So far, the movie has received mixed reviews on social media. There was a big craze among Nepali movie fans for this movie because the very popular Anmol KC, son of Bhuwan KC, was starring as the lead actor. The producer and the director of “Dreams”, Bhuwan KC has announced that the movie has earned the entirety of its investment within two days of its release. Having recently seen Anmol KC’s decent performance in the romantic hit "Jerry", I was expecting something similar from this movie when I first went to see it.

The production quality, cinematography, the luxurious locations and natural beauty was shown are the things that immediately caught my eye. It speaks to a wide range of audiences. However, the young audiences are the ones who can relate most to the plot. As good as the production value is, the storyline is fairly simple and lacks a bit of direction, unfortunately. It starts off with a chase where a gang is chasing a girl (Sandhya Kc). She is saved by Anmol and the two of them become good friends. She starts to have feelings for him, but he declines her stating that he doesn't believe in love. However, as fate would have it, he does fall in love with another girl (Samragyee Rajya Laxmi Shah) and together they embark on a romantic journey which as always has a happy ending.

The film is certainly beautiful to look at with the expensive locations, natural beauty, and the popularity of the cast. The story lacks soul and direction, though. It is filled with cheesy and unnecessary dialogues, and the acting lacks passion. There are a few humorous scenes in the movie which make you laugh and a few songs (I really liked "Ma Ke Bhanu") shot in beautiful locations which will keep you entertained.
