"One Hundred Years of Solitude" is a 1967 novel written by a famous Columbian author, Gabriel Garcia Marquez. This novel basically reflects a family tree of generations. “This novel is a prodigious piece of artistic reflection of generations of a family whose tangible lives has been forecasted through this novel,” mentioned Nikita Gautam, the vice-president of the Book Club. “For the first time, the Book Club has been able to finish such a difficult book. Each chapter in the novel is a book in itself,” said Shreha Regmi, one of the members of the Book Club. In the last session, however, the club members planned to conduct "Book Quiz", which was conducted successfully. Club members also celebrated their book completion with some dry snacks. Aashish Khanal, one of the members of book club, said, "This book describes about love, beauty and magic. What I personally found interesting is that the way the book gives essence of everything in existence." He added, "As there so many characters and stories, we were able to conduct a healthy quiz. It is really a fun experience. I was lucky enough to answer three questions correctly. So I felt happy about the quiz and special thanks to the club presidents, for choosing this book". While discussing with the club members, everyone agreed that this was one of the best books that they had ever read and will read in future. They agreed that this book totally changed their perspective of reading any story. “Every little detail is a hidden treasure in itself. Every character has a time of solitude in the Beundia family. Instant change of scenario in this book is an attractive way of portraying the change in stories,” said one of the members of the club. Now, the Book Club will be conducting a special session in front of the entire school. Next book that they will be reading is a book called "Arresting God in Kathmandu", by a Nepali writer, named Samrat Upadhyay.
