Apple Park Set To Open in April

Envisioned by Steve Jobs, Apple has decided to open its new campus- "The Apple Park" on April 2017 which lies in the heart of the Santa Clara Valley, California. With 12,000 employees would be moving in, it would roughly take around six months to have the Apple Park settled. Also, the construction of buildings, parklands would continue throughout the summer. The campus occupies 175 acres of the Santa Clara Valley with a luxuriant landscape. At the heart of the campus -a ring-shaped, 2.8 million-square-foot main building is located. The roof of this main building is covered with solar panels making it run entirely on renewable energy thus ultimately benefitting the environment. In addition to this, to honor Steve Jobs, his contribution, and his abiding influence on Apple and also the whole world, the thousand-seated theater at Apple Park will be named after him. This theater is scheduled to be opened later this year and is situated atop a hill – one of the points within Apple Park. "Steve’s vision for Apple stretched far beyond his time with us. He intended Apple Park to be the home of innovation for generations to come,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO. Besides these, Apple Park would also consist of a visitor’s center with an Apple Store and cafe open to the public. Apart from this, a huge array of facilities' are provided to the employees which include a fitness center as well as secure research and development facilities. The parklands offer two miles of walking and running paths for employees. In addition to this, an orchard, a meadow. and a pond would be located within its interior grounds. The Apple Park is the site of a naturally ventilated building and thus it does not require any heating or air conditioning system for nine months. With this new innovation, Apple is definitely set to flourish more in the upcoming years and we hope to see more of such advancement in the near future as well.
