LG V20 will be the first new smartphone that comes with Android Nougat, right out of the box. Google released its latest android version Android 7.0 Nougat today. The android community had been eagerly waiting for its release, and the Nougat update will be available in all Nexus devices today. There had been a lot of rumors and guesses about the features of the Nougat, and Google has listed it on the official Nougat Page. Here’s a brief rundown of the main features. VR Support The Nougat will be capable of running applications in Virtual Reality taking the user into the virtual world of adventure, games, movies, and fun. Vulkan API With this new application program interface, the Nougat will support high-performance 3D graphics. The Vulkan API will also reduce CPU workloads and driver overhead. Multi-Window View The Nougat will also have the feature of multi-window view allowing the user to multi-task easily. You could be looking at a movie on YouTube and simultaneously chat with your friends on Facebook. The Nougat will also the user to switch between apps seamlessly. Battery The Nougat will have a feature called “Doze on the Go”. As the name suggests the user will be able to put the phone in sleep mode even when he/she is traveling. Data The Nougat will allow the user to control cellular data on the phone. The user will have access to choose which application can access cellular data and which cannot. Notification Direct Reply This feature will allow the user to reply to messages without even opening the app. Bundled Notifications With this feature, the user can expand the notification from the notification bar itself and not have to look into the app to check the notification. Display Size The Nougat will allow the user to customize not only the text size but the size of the display window as well. File – Based Encryption With this feature the Nougat will be very secure as the encrypting will take place at the file level, enabling the system to better isolate these files. Direct Boot The Nougat will have the feature of a fast boot, and the applications will run securely even before you put on the password to access the app. Dual Mode The Nougat will have the feature of the Night Mode. In the previous version of Android, Android Marshmallow the Dark Mode feature was removed. But, the latest version has brought the feature back with new name and new features such as customization of blue light on the device, and system-wide dark theme. Emergency Info on Lock Screen The user will be able to keep emergency contact details on the lock screen. The Nougat will also come with Google's new messaging app Allo and video chatting app Duo.
