Sushant Singh Rajput died by suicide on June 14th 2020, Sunday. The actor was just 34 years old. Everyone was shocked and saddened by the untimely demise of the bollywood star. He starred in movies like PK, Kai Po Che, Chhichore, MS Dhoni and many more. Sushant had no film background but he was successful to make a mark on bollywood with his hard work.
The bollywood actor had been battling depression for almost six months.
Everyone who knew Sushant personally describes him as a very positive and nice human being. He was a very hardworking and goal oriented person. Very few people knew about his mental health issues. Infact, many people could not even guess that he was battling depression as he always looked happy and was always smiling.
Thus, it’s high time we understand that depression does not come with a face and unfortunately the person suffering does not show any symptoms. When a person is going through a turmoil of emotions he/she becomes very less expressive. We never really know what a person is going through. And it is true that every person is fighting their own battle. So, we can take this incident as a reminder to be a good person. We need to learn to check on people, to listen and to empathize. We don’t know what position we hold in somebody’s life. Just a hello or even a smile can give reason for that person to fight. Being nice does not go in vain and it costs us nothing. Remember, no act of kindness however small, goes in vain. And if we ourselves are the one suffering from these issues we must seek professional help if things start to get very overwhelming. We must always remember that seeking out for help is not cowardly but is brave.
