Wake The City Warm

On January 1st 2016, a campaign called “Wake The City Warm” was held with a vision of involving the young generation in social activities. The campaign was promoted with the motto “a small effort to warm the shivering heart”. Deerwalk Social Service Club was able to successfully organise the clothes donation program to provide warm clothes to the needy during this freezing winter.
The marvelous effort from the organizers and volunteers led the program to a great success and there were smiles seen on the faces of many. With the college van providing the transportation, the collected clothes from the deerwalkers were distributed at places like Pashupatinath Temple, Gaushala and Guheshwari Temple. There were total of 13 volunteers including the members of Social Service Club making a team of 4 led by Pankaj KC and Mohan Singh Bomrel. The clothes and blankets were distributed openly to homeless people. The event lasted for 4 hours starting from 11 AM. This small effort from the college, club along with the volunteers was appreciated by many people.
