Tonight I Dreamed Of You

By Arjun Dahal

Tonight I dreamed of you, Yes, you can rebel. But It's true. I dreamed of you tonight.   I was standing by the Clock Tower. You were there Stone cold stone, not a beating heart. I smiled and waved my hand "Hi" And you were cool enough to look at another side. Sure, you can defy me. But It's true. You were stone cold stone, not a beating heart.   I mocked you And even teased you with the roses, In front of the Archies Gallery. You replied me with by your sharp look, With a fire in your eyes. Yes, those roses were not natural and you may call me a liar, But It's true, those flowers glared for you.   You moved away from me Wow! Your coolness was so cool. And I followed you. Few were shouting at me, a Lovestruck Romeo Who cares, When the wind was blowing your hair. Sure, It's hard for you to believe. But It's true. The wind blew your hair perfect - perfect like in the movies.   I followed you on and on Yes, you may disagree. But It's true, the sky was blue to see you again. Sure, you may be vexed. But the green bushes hid their thorn. Yes, you may find it irritating, But the sun gloomed for you. Sure, you may feel awkward, But even the trespassers whistled at you. Yes, you may call me crazy, But I followed you on and on.   You crossed the road, And I too was just starting to cross. My eyes - busy - so busy on you. Let my feet over a banana's peel and, Bang..... I slipped. Then you complemented with your smile. You did. Yes, you may challenge me. But It's true. You finally smiled at last. And I watched you till my dawn.   Many calenders have been changed. The clock has got uncountable batteries replaced. Years have passed on. And Now, I'm blasted with ecstasy As tonight I dreamed of you. Yes, you can rebel. But It's true, Now I have bliss, Because I dreamed of you tonight.
