“We finished both practical exams and term paper presentation on the same week,” said one of the students from batch 2017 happily. After the completion of their board examinations, the practical examinations and term paper presentation for the batch of 2017 were held at DWIT. The practical examinations started on 26th May and ended on 29th May. The term paper presentation was conducted on the next day. The practical examinations for batch 2017 were scheduled in two shifts for the first two days. The first shift was held between 10 am and 12 pm, whereas the second shift took place between 12 pm and 2 pm. The examinations were followed by viva sessions conducted by external invigilators. “I was unable to answer some of the questions because I was very nervous,” said one of the students. The very next day after the completion of the practical examination, the term paper presentation was held. The students were divided into eight groups with judges from Deerwalk Inc. After the 5 minutes presentation by the students, 3 minutes were assigned for questions and answers. The judges commented on the performance of the students at the end of the presentation. The presentation ended with satisfaction on the faces of the students as well as the judges. “This is what I was willing to see and I was enraptured by the way you all presented. I was wondering what you guys will be at the end of 8th semester,” one of the judges said to the group she was assigned to judge. When asked how they felt after giving their presentations, many of them commented on how far they had progressed since their first day at DWIT.
