These solar panels are constructed using tempered glass. Some European countries have already implemented these solar roads. The hexagonal panels are designed to give the vehicles traction while generating energy from the sun. The solar roadway panels are available in two different textures; smooth surface for light traffic and rougher surface for highways. The solar panels have microprocessors which allow the panel to communicate with each other wirelessly to report malfunctions or unauthorized tampering. This intelligence of the road solar panels protects them with the anti- theft mechanisms. They contain heating elements to prevent snow and ice accumulations on its surface.  The solar roadways do not need paintings. The solar glass surface was tested and it was found that it can stop the vehicles going at the speed of 80 miles per hour. Solar roads can also generate electricity for electric vehicles. The applications of the solar panels are increasing rapidly.  These panels absorb light and create a flow of the electrons.  These panels contain LED light which creates lines without the use of the paint. But the disadvantage of such panel is that it is too soft, fragile and expensive to maintain as a viable road surface.
