Movie Club Screens 'Good Will Hunting'
On 29th August 2014, Movie Club screened a wonderful and inspiring movie, ‘Good Will Hunting’ which was really intriguing to the audience throughout. The movie started at 5:15 and ended at 7:32, which included a popcorn break in the interval. There were 40 students present in the show. This week’s movie show was themed; “Tribute to Robin Williams” (after ‘Good Will Hunting’ was selected) and the poll included some of his masterpieces, namely, Dead Poets Society, Good Will Hunting, Patch Adams, and a Will Smith hit, Pursuit of Happiness. The movie revolves around a janitor, Will Hunting, who has an excellent gifted brain but needs a psychologist, Sean Maguire to figure out the right direction in his life. When Will’s excellent capability was exposed while answering a challenging mathematical question in the notice board, Professor Chuckie Sullivan gets impressed and tries to invest in Will’s ‘genius’ mind for his benefits. However, he faces a really hard time trying to bring Will in the track he wants to. There comes the presence of thematic character, ‘Robin Williams’, as a psychologist. He brings a real charm and excitement in the movie. His presence in the movie was backed by a big round of applause from the audience, which was really touching. Everyone was satisfied with the movie. One of the audiences expressed his satisfaction claiming that the movie was ‘marvelous’. Another audience commented, “This is the best movie that I’ve watched in a long time. It’s undoubtedly the best that ‘The Movie Club’ has screened so far.”
