Deer Express club conducted a talk program on September 1, 2017, with a young emerging Nepali director Min Bahadur Bham. He is the director of the Nepali movie Kalopothi (The Black Hen). He also directed the short films, The Last Begining, and The Flute. His upcoming movie A Year Of Cold, in Tibetian language, is aimed to be released in 2020. The talk session was more like a question and answer session and was different from other talk sessions of Deertalk. Mr. Bham asked for the questions that the audience would like him to answer and plotted a story answering those questions. With a cheerful face, he was able to engage the audience in his talk about his experience, struggle and his philosophy of life. Mr. Bham talked about his childhood and described himself as a shy and introvert child. He added how the challenges and struggles he had faced in Kathmandu made him an outspoken person. Bham was born in Mugu and had a dream to become a director since his age of five though he had no idea how to become a director. He spent his spare time reading books and shared that he has read around 15000 books till date. The jolly personality of the director greatly impressed the audience, as he said he directed the films for self-satisfaction, not for the compliments of the audience. Despite the various problems, the Nepali film industry has shown encouraging signs that it is heading for a brighter future. He inspired the young audience to follow their dreams through his life story and added, "You can lie to anyone else in the world, but you can't lie to yourself."Furthermore, he shared the reason why people are nowadays unsatisfied with their life. People nowadays are running after power, property, and prestige and are unable to achieve any satisfaction. It was a wonderful experience to interact with Mr. Min Bahadur Bham and learn about his experiences. The hour long session ended in a blink of an eye. Mr. Bham addressed all the queries of the audience from his heart and persuaded the young minds to follow their dreams. A token of appreciation was handed to him at the end of the session by Deer Express club.
