Sometimes, the book may not be at the library and this creates all sorts of problem for the students. To solve this problem, a group of students from DWIT have developed an application named LMS (Library Management System). This is going to be the first application to be used in the college that has been developed by students. This application was launched on 26th November. The group members who built this application were Sumit Shrestha, Asim Regmi, Anil Shrestha, Anish Thakuri, Sushant Gurung, Pratibh Acharya, Prabina Neupane and the group was led by Sameer Koirala. The task was divided among themselves to build this application. This application will help the users to see whether the book they want to borrow is in the library or not before going to the library to borrow the books. When the students borrow or return books, librarians can keep the records, which will help everyone to know about the availability of books in the library. Logs are maintained for each issue and returns of the books. If any new students are added, the librarian can create and edit users. According to one of the Developers, Asim Regmi, “This application has marvelous design, less prone to error and support is available 7*24 *365.” This application is going to help manage the library which will in return help both the students as well as the librarian.
