To mark the last day of the year 2017,  DWIT Hiking Club organized a one-day hike to Namobuddha on the day of new year's eve.  A total of fourteen people from batches 2020 and 2021 and two office representatives participated in the hike. All the hikers assembled in the Deerwalk Complex and departed for the starting point at 7:15 AM. After an hour-long bus ride to Panauti, the hikers were provided breakfast by the club. After the refreshing breakfast, hikers were energized and ready to start their hike. After another thirty minutes ride, the hike officially started. The trails for the hike was quite easy for some while some still struggled to keep up with the group. The hikers got to encounter number of orange orchards and enjoy the beautiful scenery around them. After making many stops along the way to capture memories in their mobiles the hikers arrived at the destination at around 2:15 PM. Once all the hikers reached the destinations they gathered to enjoy a small break with energetic snacks. Following the break, the hike continued with visits to the Gumba and Stupas in Namobuddha and the walk back to the bus. The hike came to an end with a nice thakali meal in Mustang Thakali Restaurant. The hike had a quite easy trail and was a great end to the year 2017!
