By Sushil Awale

Deerwalk Institute of Technology, DWIT announced today the launch of its new program DWIT Incubation Center (DIC) in an official statement. The incubation center will serve as a platform to foster entrepreneurship and innovation. It is mainly targeted towards DWIT students and alumni. The center will be officially open from April 14, 2017. The center will have dedicated internet facility, machines, and furniture and the center will be rent free for at least a year. Furthermore, the college will provide other technical assistance as required by the businesses operating in the incubation center. "There has been a considerable interest shown by our current students and those who have gone on to become our alumni. For now, we will give priority to members of our alumni - those on a mission of becoming job creators and not job seekers." reads the statement released by Hitesh Karki, Chief Academic Officer at DWIT. With the opening of the incubation center, the college looks forward towards the participating businesses to engage their juniors and take them along their entrepreneurial journey. Currently, a research lab near the college library has been assigned for the incubation center. The college plans to create a dedicated space for the incubation center in near future.
