Data Bank Visualization Team Successfully Conduct KSS III

Data Bank Visualization team facilitated the third Knowledge Sharing Session. The session was conducted on Aug 24 and it mainly focused on the importance of Data Bank and its Visualization and how the team has been implementing it. The head of Data Bank and Visualization team, Dr. Sunil Chaudhary commenced this session with a brief introduction on the main aim of the project i.e. to design and build a DATA BANK containing all the budgetary allocation of funds for the education in Nepal since the first budget in the country and to develop a web based DATA VISUALIZATION TOOL, which can present the data in the data bank in more meaningful and understandable forms. Furthermore, the session focused on what a data bank is and how it has been implemented for this project. Similarly, the importance of Data Visualization was also highlighted. The team obtains all the data from well-known sources such as Economy Survey, Red Book, Line Items and Budget Book whose data are published annually by the Ministry of Finance, Nepal and also from Flash and Consolidated Report, published by the Ministry of Education, Nepal Moreover, Dr. Sunil Chaudhary also highlighted the importance of this project which is to enable researchers to find the required data easily and also compare it with other known data. Hence, it would play a vital role in improving data efficiency. This session ended with the live project demonstration by the team. With the successful completion of this knowledge sharing session, the audience got to know a lot about Data bank, Data Visualization and its usage which could be quite beneficial in the near future. Also, this project has provided ample opportunities to the students to forecast their talents and develop good skills in the particular field ultimately promoting their overall growth.
