Comparatively Higher Fees at DWIT? Here's the Justification

By Surendra Nath Adhikari

Special write-up by DWIT Campus Chief, Surendra Nath Adhikari:

We have increased the fees for the upcoming batch to assure quality teaching facilities and infra-structure.

We have recently doubled the size of our campus by adding five more ropanis of land which takes total campus size to 10 ropanis. In addition, recently we have introduced the practice of assigning one research coordinator per 25 students. This will increase faculty cost and will allow students to seek additional project help from research coordinators who comes with years of industry experience. One must also take into account the fact that while TU board mandates 1900 class hours be spent on students undergoing 4 year B.Sc.CSIT course, at DWIT every student has to undergo 3000 class hours. That brings 1100 hours of additional courseware.

The college will also undertake various infra-structure buildup projects to modernize the classroom in terms of size, look and equipments.

College does not charge students more than it takes to provide them great academic as well as entrepreneurial experience.

DWIT is a public organization and shareholders have been very patient and have so far invested 16 crore to infrastructure buildup. They have not had any financial return till date. They take great pride in being part of this amazing institute.
