Breaking The Record to Unite The Hearts
Have you noticed any of your friends on Facebook in the past few days posting their photographs holding a placard in their hands tagged "Breaking the record to unite the Hearts"? If you are wondering what that is about or what the record is, it is about making the largest human national flag in Nepal, thereby registering the name of Nepal in the Guinness World Record. This is an attempt of an NGO named Human Values for Peace and Prosperity (HVPP). It is going to organize the event with the aim of gathering about 35,000 people on one common forum to form the 'Largest Human National Flag'. Currently, Pakistan boasts of this record, achieved during the Punjab Youth Festival in 2014 which was organized by the Sports Board Punjab in Lahore, with a total of 29,000 participants. As per the organizer, each participant will hold a unique card of any of the three colors- white, crimson or blue, and display them over their head to collectively form a giant national flag, in the unique pennant shape. It is assumed that the shape can be best viewed from an aerial view. Further, HVPP says that this event is not merely about breaking the record, but also about flourishing the value of 'Unity in Diversity' and dispensing the message of togetherness, 'Together we stand, divided we fall'. Although this sounds ambitious, it is achievable. Let's get united, let's break the record! To register yourself, you can contact at United World Trade Center, Tripureswor by 16th August.
