After successfully completing the first book reading session, Deerwalk Literature Society organized its second session with the book Palpasa Café by Narayan Wagle. The session started on June 20, 2017, with a total of 15 members.
Palpasa Café is a fiction based on love and war set in the backdrop of Nepal. The book was originally written in Nepali and later translated into English. So, some of the members read the Nepali version while others read the English version of the book.
The members in this session came from different batches with the aim of sharing their understanding of the book. Each of the sessions was conducted with equal interest and lasted for almost three hours. During these sessions, the member discussed different topics from hallucinations to love to the history of Nepal. Each member very equally interested in sharing their experience and listening to others.
Due to various activities and examination of different batches, the book reading session had to suffer a little. The number of meetups were lessened but was covered up with the longer and interactive sessions. The second book reading session came to an end on Aug 22, 2017.
