Picture Courtesy: Bidur Banstola Christmas holidays brought happiness among all DWIT students. But Santa had something more up his sleeve for the football players. Between the tight exam schedules, an 11 A side football was just the gift, every player wanted. A small pack of players under the command of Shankar Koirala headed towards the venue for friendly match with the opponent team (name not available). The Sports Club did arrangement of players. Sports Club was disappointed when few of the important names could not join the game and hence has decided to retreat their name off for such probable future events. A little prize money was also added, so that game would become interesting. The event kicked off sharp at 10 am. A classic 4-3-3 formations was the choice from the captain. Sushant Gurung played off his preferred position but was by far the maestro among the boys. A new addition to the team Bishal Rawal was very promising too. The 5’ 10’’ tall goalkeeper saved an initial penalty followed by a rebound and proved himself to be an essential addition to the team. Despite of two early goals from the opponents, the boys stood strong. Moving towards the attack, it was a goal galore from the agile Muscaan Lamsal. His shot found the net 5 times in the 90 minutes frame. And at stoppage time, Pratik Budhathoki chipped the ball over the keeper and gave a cherry topping to the victory. The contest was rather Men VS Boys as the college team stood 6-2 victorious. Bidur is a student currently studying in DWIT and President of The Sports Club, DWIT
