Hike from Sankhu to Nagarkot
Picture Courtesy: Dipal Malla On 31st of January, DWIT hiking club organized a hiking event from Sankhu to Nagarkot. For the first time ever, the hiking club organized a hike for a single batch (Batch of 2019) and the hike was successfully conducted. The journey started from the Deerwalk complex. Hikers were facilitated with a microbus from Deerwalk services, despite the fuel shortage. Hikers had some breakfast at a restaurant nearby the Deerwalk complex and took a road trip via microbus from DWIT to Sankhu. After reaching Salinadi chowk, we started our hike, full of energy, following trails and paths we crossed the jungle and took some snacks and rested on the way, separating the trails to Nagarkot from a road to Jarsinpauwa. Our jungle hike began again when hikers decided not to take a road to reach Kartike. We took a couple of breaks and reached Kartike from where we headed towards Nagarkot. Hikers were pretty tired even though they were quite an energetic group of people. We finally reached Nagarkot and managed to reach Nagarkot tower for a great view. We came back to Nagarkot, had our meal and hit the road back to Kathmandu via microbus. The hike turned out to be pretty memorable as we returned back with memories of fun and joyful moments.
