Manchester United Get Their Man For A World Record Fee
After all the rumors that went on, Paul Pogba is finally a Manchester United player, again. The French man left the red devils four years ago for a nominal fee and now becomes the most expensive transfer in football history.
Manchester United have completed their transfer of Paul Pogba from Juventus for a world-record transfer fee of £89m. This £89m figure surpasses the £85m that Real Madrid paid Tottenham for Gareth Bale in 2013. The 23-year-old has signed a five-year deal with the option of extending a further year.
“I am delighted to rejoin United,” Pogba said. “It has always been a club with a special place in my heart and I am really looking forward to working with Jose Mourinho.”
“He has the chance to be at the heart of this club for the next decade and beyond,” Mourinho (United manager) said. “He is quick, strong, scores goals and reads the game better than many players much older than he is.”
With the Premier League starting in 3 days, Manchester United have formed a strong team with major signings like Ibrahimović, Mkhitaryan, Bailly and Pogba. They are a team to look out for this season.
