Deer Express club conducted a talk program on September 1, 2017, with a young emerging Nepali director Min Bahadur Bham. He is the director of the Nepali movie Kalopothi (The Black Hen).
Data Bank Visualization team facilitated the third Knowledge Sharing Session. The session was conducted on Aug 24 and it mainly focused on the importance of Data Bank and its Visualization and how the team has been implementing it.
After successfully completing the first book reading session, Deerwalk Literature Society organized its second session with the book Palpasa Café by Narayan Wagle. The session started on June 20, 2017, with a total of 15 members.
Documentary, Movie, and Dramatics club organized Open Screening Session VIII on August 22. Three Short Movies by film maker Prabesh Poudel was screened in this session: Singhadurbar, Calf love, and Saanti.
During the IT4D conference, held on 30th July 2017, the DWIT News interviewed some of the guests. They were asked the question “How do you like the program so far? How can the program be improved?”
The fourth International Conference on Information Technology for Development (IT4D), organized by Deerwalk Institute of Technology was a three-day event that was successfully held from 29th July-31st July 2017.
The conference was attended by elite professors, researchers, and practitioners from within and outside Nepal.
On July 25, Knowledge Sharing Session was facilitated by the IT Department. This session mainly focused on how IT department was formed and how it manages to provide stable internet facility to Deerwalk family.
Documentary, Movie and Dramatics Club in collaboration with Media Club organized a Special Open Screening Session on July 20, 2017. All the One-Shot Movies submitted to Media Club were screened in this session.
Mega Debate organized by the Deer Express, Deerwalk Literature Society, and DWIT News with the support of Medication for Nepal was held on July 21, 2017. The prizes were sponsored by The Bakery Cafe and Himalaya Java Cafe and the media partner was the Documentary Movie Dramatics Club. The debate was conducted in Nepali and followed the British Parliamentary Debate Style.
