Deer Express Club organized the First session of the 24th Season of Deertalk on the 5 Jan, 2018.
To mark the last day of the year 2017, DWIT Hiking Club organized a one-day hike to Namobuddha on the day of new year's eve. A total of fourteen people from batches 2020 and 2021 and two office representatives participated in the hike.
With 2018 knocking at the door, and with the excitement to welcome it, Social Service Club organized a bonfire program on 29 December, Friday.
The Mini-Debate Competition, organized by The Deer Express Club was successfully held on 16th of December. The event was made quite interesting by its topic “Staying single is better than being in a relationship”. The topic made the debate distinct from the ‘used to happen’ debates and raised the anxiousness of the spectators.
Club day is the most awaited day for all DWIT members where the different clubs get new leaders and members. On this day, students can choose which club they want to be involved according to their interest.
On Dec 15, DWIT News and Media club conducted a workshop on News Presentation and Field Reporting. This session mainly focused on voice projection, body language, and script writing.
DWIT News held an Orientation program for the new team members. All the members including the President were assembled together for the meeting.
Deerwalk Group successfully held a combined Annual General Meeting of DWIT, DSS, and Comp-ware on Saturday, 9th December 2017.
Deer Express club conducted a talk program on September 1, 2017, with a young emerging Nepali director Min Bahadur Bham. He is the director of the Nepali movie Kalopothi (The Black Hen).
Data Bank Visualization team facilitated the third Knowledge Sharing Session. The session was conducted on Aug 24 and it mainly focused on the importance of Data Bank and its Visualization and how the team has been implementing it.
