Absurdity

Slowly,

Slowly,

And slowly,

You cripple inside my mind.

Now, I’ve closed my books

And lit the cigarette.

Who is burning whom?

Probably,

The answer lies in the sublime smoke,

Which rises,

Carrying the despondent empathy,

Reminding me of my dreams,

That I had once sown for the golden future.

And I’m not a fool anymore,

To waste my time on stupid thoughts,

Hence, I’ve opened my books again.
